Responsibilities include:
Placing IV catheters and administering medications and treatments Collecting blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples Performing venipuncture confidently and efficiently Placing endotracheal tubes and assisting with anesthetic induction and recovery Monitoring anesthesia during surgical and dental procedures Taking and processing diagnostic radiographs Performing in-house laboratory testing and diagnostics Providing nursing care for hospitalized patients Educating clients on medications, preventative care, and treatment plans Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment notes Assisting with patient admissions and discharges Helping create a positive experience for both patients and clients What We're Looking For Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license 2-3 years of veterinary technician experience preferred Strong technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring, IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and patient nursing care Excellent communication and client service skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Commitment to teamwork and exceptional patient care Join Our Team At Nipomo Dog & Cat Hospital, we're more than coworkers—we're a team that genuinely enjoys working together while providing exceptional care to our patients and clients.
