  • Emergency & ICU About PESCM PESCM, located in San Rafael, is the only 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin offering specialties in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Urgent Care, Emergency, Radiology, and Critical Care .

We are committed to providing a nurturing yet professional environment that supports your growth and success, offering: Predictable schedules Regular time off Competitive pay Generous benefits A supportive, collaborative team culture Responsibilities Veterinary Technicians at PESCM are responsible for a wide variety of patient care and customer service tasks. In addition to core veterinary technician skills such as patient restraint, administering medications, IV catheter placement, and phlebotomy, Emergency Department technicians will: Set up CRIs and calculate medical math Place indwelling urinary catheters Place jugular catheters Provide quality, compassionate care for hospitalized patients Prepare and administer blood and plasma transfusions Assist in surgeries and other sedated procedures Maintain accurate treatment sheets Take radiographs (out of the room) and obtain, prepare, and submit blood samples for diagnostic testing Operate mechanical ventilators for anesthesia Provide client education on a wide range of at-home care needs About You RVT preferred; minimum of 2 years of experience required Comprehensive understanding of anesthetic monitoring Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology Understanding of normal vs. abnormal physiologic ranges Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment Commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community Positive outlook and strong teamwork skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Dedication to delivering exceptional client service Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun Compensation Pay Range $35.00
  • $45.00 per hour, this range includes applicable shift differentials. Shift Differentials $3.00/hour for weekend shifts $4.00/hour for overnight shifts Weekend and overnight differentials stack when applicable Sign-On Bonus $4,000 for day and swing Credentialed Veterinary Technicians $5,000 for overnight Credentialed Veterinary Technicians Schedule Options Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM
  • 12:30 AM Sunday through Tuesday, 7:00 PM
  • 7:30 AM Friday through Sunday, 11:00am
