Position Overview Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a dynamic clinical environment, and takes pride in supporting both pets and their owners through excellent service. The successful candidate will utilize their technical knowledge, clinical skills, and teamwork abilities to support daily hospital operations and ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Clinical Patient Care Provide friendly, compassionate, and fear-free patient handling Accurately triage incoming patients Administer medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments Provide post-operative patient monitoring and recovery support Perform basic wound care as needed Feed and hydrate hospitalized patients when required Technical Veterinary Skills Perform venipuncture and blood collection Place IV catheters Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures Assist with dental procedures Monitor anesthesia during procedures Take digital radiographs Collect and prepare samples for outside laboratories or in-house diagnostics Equipment & Inventory Support Prepare surgical instruments and supplies Clean, maintain, and prepare medical equipment Ensure treatment areas remain clean, organized, and ready for use Records & Compliance Accurately handle and record controlled substances Maintain accurate digital medical records Apply knowledge of veterinary pharmacology and terminology Client Service & Education Educate pet owners regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Deliver compassionate and professional client communication Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience Strong clinical and technical veterinary skills Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced progressive environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Strong animal restraint and handling experience Preferred Candidate Profile Passionate about animal care and patient advocacy Calm and confident in urgent or busy clinical settings Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong problem-solving ability Team player who contributes positively to culture Committed to continuous learning and professional growth
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
