Experienced Veterinary Technician needed at Inland Valley Veterinary Specialists for overnight shift! Seeking a positive, highly motivated individual with an outstanding personality. who is seeking to take that next step into management. This would be a lead position. Offered Benefits include (full time employees): Paid Vacation Medical Insurance 401K CE Allocation License Reimbursement VTNE Exam Reimbursement We are open 24 hours. Holiday Pay is included. (Overnight shifts carry a $2.00 shift differential ) Veterinary Experienced Required - Minimum 2 years experience in the field Knowledge of Anesthesia, Animal Behavior, Animal Husbandry, Documentation Skills, Analyzing Information, Clinical Skills, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Performing Diagnostic Procedures, Use of Medical Technologies, Attention to Detail, Patience, Verbal Communication. Provides patient care by determining requirements; conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures; assisting during operations; feeding and caring for patients. Emergency experience is required. Shifts Available 4.10 Schedule Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:30pm-7:00am
  • Must be proficient in anesthetic induction and monitoring
  • Perform laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging.
  • Calculate medications, including CRI's.
  • Cares for patients by taking vital signs; collecting samples; administering medications, injections, bandaging and wrapping wounds.
  • Restrain patients; provide assistance as directed; explain patient's status to clients and round with doctors.
  • Assist in surgery; complete local/regional anesthesia; operating and monitoring anesthetic machines; preparing surgical site; placing catheters; obtaining and verifying medications.
  • Maintains patient records by documenting patient conditions, reactions, and changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
