Financial support and onsite mentorship for those pursuing VTS certification Ask us about certification assistance Schedule Full-Time Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 6:00pm Job Description In this role, the Neurology Technician will be responsible for monitoring anesthesia during MRI procedures and neurosurgical cases. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with complex neurological conditions, and to deepen your understanding of brain function and neurological disease. Responsibilities Technical skills : venipuncture, blood draw, placing IV catheter, lab sample collection Admitting and discharging procedural and surgical cases. Dispensing medications directed by veterinarian Preparing estimates for the doctor and inputting technician appointment charges Assisting neurologist with initial consultations and rechecks including collecting a medical history and obtaining patient vitals. Anesthesia monitoring for MRIs and neurosurgical procedures, endotracheal intubation, calculation of CRIs. Ability to multitask in fast paced environment with a positive attitude Ability to set up and break down operating room and clean surgical instruments Calculate drug dosages Professional and compassionate client communication in-person and on the phone. Qualifications Must be CVT, LVT, RVT, or PVT certified in Colorado.
Experience :
1 year + of applicable experience Strong knowledge of basic veterinary practices, procedures, and terminology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, and work on your feet for prolonged periods Exceptional multi-tasking skills, maintaining high-quality standards in patient care and decision-making. Ability to communicate effectively with CASE staff and team members. Fluent English skills (speaking & reading ) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
