Position Overview We are seeking a proactive Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs. This is a high-volume, full-service emergency and referral environment where you will utilize the full extent of your clinical skills. You will rotate between ICU, outpatient, and triage roles, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work week.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Excellence:
Administer treatments and medications; run diagnostic tests; and maintain basic medical knowledge of side effects and protocols.
Advanced Procedures:
Perform EKGs, place central/peripheral catheters, conduct diagnostic radiology, and perform ultrasound-guided urinary cystocentesis.
Critical Care:
Monitor vitals in ICU, clean wounds, and apply specialized bandages/casts. Assist in CPR, BLS, and trauma life support under DVM direction.
Anesthesia Support:
Set up and monitor anesthesia for emergency surgeries and specialty procedures.
Schedule Flexibility:
Maintain flexible shift availability, including weekends and varying hours as needed, to directly support 24/7 hospital staffing needs.
Team Advocacy:
Uphold a positive, productive, and supportive culture. Encourage personal growth and continuous learning for yourself and your peers.
Compliance:
Follow all local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, DEA, EEOC, AAHA) and utilize low-stress handling techniques.
Requirements Credentials:
Passing score on the VTNE and a valid RVT license in the state of Colorado.
Experience:
Previous experience with pets in a veterinary environment.

Compensation & Benefits Base Pay:
$25.00/hour - $30.00/hour.
Shift Differentials:
$1.50/hour for swing shifts; $4.00/hour for overnights.
Signing bonus:
$3,000 signing bonus available to highly qualified candidates .
