We will offer 24/7 emergency care and a full range of specialty services. Job Summary The Registered Veterinary Technician (Critical Care) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional nursing care to the hospital's most critically ill and unstable patients. Working closely with board-certified criticalists, emergency clinicians, specialists, and the multidisciplinary care team, this individual is responsible for providing advanced patient monitoring, intensive nursing care, life-saving interventions, and support for complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The RVT serves as a patient advocate, ensuring the highest level of care while providing compassionate communication and support to clients during some of the most challenging moments of their pet's life. The ideal candidate is a credentialed veterinary technician with a strong interest in emergency and critical care medicine, exceptional technical skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Key Responsibilities Critical Patient Care

• Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill and hospitalized patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment
• Continuously assess patient status and promptly recognize changes requiring medical intervention
• Perform advanced technical procedures including catheter placement, blood product administration, ventilator support, arterial blood sampling, and advanced fluid therapy Diagnostics & Procedures
• Assist with advanced diagnostics, emergency procedures, and bedside interventions
• Prepare and monitor patients undergoing anesthesia, sedation, and advanced therapeutic procedures
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including telemetry, ventilators, infusion pumps, and patient monitoring systems Case Management
• Coordinate comprehensive care plans for hospitalized critical care patients
• Ensure accurate medical records, treatment documentation, and communication during patient handoffs
• Collaborate with emergency and specialty teams to provide seamless continuity of care Collaboration
• Work closely with criticalists, emergency veterinarians, specialists, and the nursing team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate communication and education to clients regarding their pet's condition, treatments, and hospitalization Qualifications
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, or LVT) required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in veterinary emergency and/or specialty medicine preferred
• Experience in emergency, ICU, or critical care strongly preferred
• Advanced technical skills including patient monitoring, anesthesia, venipuncture, catheter placement, and critical care nursing
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple critically ill patients while maintaining composure
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
