Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
  • Take and develop X-rays of animals
  • Provide basic grooming services such as bathing and nail trimming
  • Assist with dog training exercises as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a veterinary technician program or equivalent experience
  • Certification as a veterinary technician preferred
  • Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Experience with X-ray equipment and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
  • Physical stamina to lift and restrain animals as necessary Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and requirements.
