Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as an Experienced Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional animal care! Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures using medical equipment operation and aseptic techniques Perform laboratory work including phlebotomy, veterinary laboratory tests, and diagnostic radiology to support accurate diagnoses Manage animal restraint and handling of dogs and cats Administer medications, vaccines, and fluids via IV insertion or vascular access with precision and adherence to safety protocols Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures, ensuring patient stability through veterinary anesthesia monitoring and critical care practices Conduct pet grooming, pet care routines, and animal husbandry tasks to promote overall health and comfort Maintain detailed records using veterinary software while communicating effectively with clients about pet health plans and treatments Skills Extensive kennel experience combined with animal husbandry expertise for diverse patient needs Proficiency in dental terminology, veterinary terminology, animal anatomy knowledge, and animal physiology Strong background in veterinary critical care, emergency medicine, and veterinary anesthesia techniques including general anesthesia Skilled in laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy, diagnostic radiology (X-ray), radiology diagnostics, and laboratory work Familiarity with dog training or pet grooming is advantageous Ability to operate medical equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique standards Excellent animal handling skills with a focus on safety during restraint or catheterization procedures Knowledge of veterinary surgical assistance procedures and client communication strategies for pet care education Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to advancing animal health through compassionate care, technical excellence, and continuous professional growth!
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
