Veterinary Technician Guilford, CT 06437 From $21 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $21 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Summary Our friendly crew is looking to add a veterinary technician to the team! We need someone ready and able to jump into all facets of the job so please do not apply if you do not have training or experience. Who We Are 2 doctor general practice for small animals (cats and dogs only) Privately owned (NOT corporate) Small staff of about 10 people Animal lovers through-and-through Passionate about providing concierge-like service to our clients Prideful about the cleanliness of our hospital Who You Are A Certified Veterinary Technician, or at least 3 years working experience as a technician Knowledgeable about small animal medicine, including anatomy, physiology, vaccines, bloodwork, medications, anesthetic protocols, and x-ray techniques Animal restraint extraordinaire Comfortable administering and monitoring anesthesia Eager to help wherever needed Happy, or at least accepting of, performing cleaning tasks - we vacuum and mop twice a day, every day Accurate and detail-oriented in both practical work and charting Able to stand for long periods of time (2+ hours) Able to lift heavy patients (>50lbs) Schedule Details We are open 8:00am-5:30pm Monday through Friday (employees stay until 6:00pm) and 8:00am to 12:30pm on Saturdays (employees stay until 1:00pm) We need at least 27 hours/week, but can provide up to 36 for the right candidate Non-negotiable shifts are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00am-6:00pm Benefits include Pay commensurate with experience Health insurance Vision insurance Dental insurance 401k with matching PTO (sick and vacation) Generous pet benefits Guilford Animal Medical Center is an equal opportunity employer.
