Based on experience Weekends Required HHH Canine Lodge & Ranch is seeking a dependable, hardworking Kennel Technician to join our animal-care team. This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and well-managed environment for the dogs staying at our facility. This is not a position where you play with dogs all day. Our kennel staff handles detailed feeding and medication instructions, cleaning and sanitizing, safely handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, monitoring behavior and health, and communicating clearly with the rest of the team. This schedule provides approximately 34.5 hours per week . Saturday and Sunday availability is required. Some holiday availability may also be necessary because dogs remain in our care even when the office is closed. Primary Responsibilities Feed dogs accurately according to individual instructions Administer medications and supplements as directed Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, bowls, bedding and shared spaces Safely move and handle dogs throughout the facility Provide scheduled outdoor breaks and appropriate enrichment Monitor appetite, stool, behavior, mobility and general condition Immediately report medical, behavioral or safety concerns Maintain accurate care notes and shift communications Prepare the kennel for evening and morning transitions Assist with laundry, dishes, waste removal and general facility upkeep Follow established safety, cleaning and dog-handling procedures Work cooperatively with kennel management and other departments What We Are Looking For Reliable attendance and punctuality Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments Able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail Able to work independently while remaining part of a team Comfortable in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment Willing to clean thoroughly and perform repetitive physical tasks Able to stand, bend, lift, and remain active throughout the shift Able to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather Professional communication and a positive attitude Previous kennel, veterinary, daycare, shelter, or animal-handling experience is preferred Experience is helpful, but reliability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to excellent animal care are essential.
