Job Description

About the Position Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Radiology Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for a veterinary technician who has a strong interest in diagnostic imaging and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. The Veterinary Radiology Technician will support the radiologist, specialists, emergency and general practice veterinarians with diagnostic imaging procedures, patient care, anesthesia and sedation, image acquisition, equipment preparation, and maintaining high standards of radiation safety and patient welfare.
Our imaging modalities include:
Smart PACS & VetRocket PACS system Two digital radiology suites GE Logiq ultrasound Brand new GE 128-slice CT GE fluoroscopy Instinct EMR software
Qualifications Required:
Veterinary Technician/Nurse experience in a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of veterinary patient handling, restraint, and nursing care. Ability to safely position patients for diagnostic imaging. Knowledge of anesthesia, sedation, monitoring, and recovery. Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Commitment to radiation safety and patient welfare.
Preferred:
Credentialed veterinary technician/nurse ( RVT, CVT, or LVT) Previous experience in veterinary radiology or specialty practice. Experience with CT and Ultrasound Experience with anesthesia and advanced patient monitoring. Familiarity with PACS, DICOM, and veterinary imaging software. Veterinary radiology or diagnostic imaging continuing education/certification.
