Veterinary Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various clinical procedures. Your expertise and love for animals will help ensure the health and well-being of our patients. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostics Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Provide excellent patient care, including animal restraint and handling Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection Skills The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills: Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology Experience with animal husbandry, including dog handling and equine experience Proficiency in veterinary critical care techniques and laboratory procedures Familiarity with dental terminology and practices related to pet care Ability to perform animal catheterization, X-ray procedures, and basic grooming tasks Knowledge of animal anatomy and restraint techniques for safe handling Experience in dog training or behavioral management is a plus Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals while advancing your career as a Veterinary Technician.
