Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Long term employment is our goal. Half of our current staff have been employed with us for over 10 years. Exceptional patient care and client education are our priority. Ensuring work-life balance for our employees is also our priority. Pay will be based on prior experience, starting at $18.00/hr. We are currently a single doctor practice with plans to add another doctor in the future. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our canine and feline patients. Your skills in animal handling, medical procedures, and laboratory techniques will contribute to the overall well-being of the animals under our care. Required technical skills and
Responsibilities :
Assist veterinarians in all aspects of patient care where needed Provide animal restraint and handling during treatments, ensuring the safety of both the animal and staff. Educate pet owners on a variety of topics including vaccine schedule, preventive care and proper administration of medications Proficient in obtaining blood samples and IV catheter placement Experience administering injections - SQ, IV, & IM Perform a variety of in-house diagnostics including lab work and radiographs Patient assessment and monitoring for wellness and urgent care, as well as hospitalized and surgical patients Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, including equipment sterilization and facility upkeep. Requirements Successful completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and current licensure is preferred 3+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in practice is preferred Strong ability to connect with clients and other team members and demonstrate compassion Excellent verbal/written communication, observational and analytical skills Ability to lift 40 pounds Benefits Paid time off Uniform allowance Retirement benefits with 401k matching Employee discount Continuing education Schedule Part Time 2 to 3 days a week.
