In this vital role, you will provide high-quality animal care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure the well-being of our diverse patient population. Your expertise in veterinary medicine, animal handling, and clinical procedures will contribute to delivering exceptional pet healthcare and client service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real difference in animals' lives. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols Perform laboratory work including blood draws (phlebotomy), sample processing, and diagnostic testing using veterinary software and radiology diagnostics equipment Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures, manage IV insertions, vascular access, and animal catheterization to ensure patient safety Provide animal husbandry and grooming care, including dental terminology procedures such as dental cleanings and extractions Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for various species including dogs, cats, and equine patients Conduct diagnostic radiology (X-ray) imaging and interpret results to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Support critical & intensive care units by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with emergency medicine cases Requirements Valid certification as a Veterinary Technician from an accredited program with current licensure or registration where applicable Proven experience in veterinary settings with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy Hands-on experience with laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy and laboratory diagnostics Strong animal handling skills across different species including dog handling and equine experience preferred Familiarity with medical equipment operation including radiology machines, anesthesia monitors, and surgical instruments Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in emergency medicine or critical care situations Join our team to make a meaningful impact on animals' health while advancing your career in veterinary medicine.
