Job Description
Veterinary Technician & Receptionist Island Veterinary Hospital is looking for a dedicated, dependable, and compassionate Veterinary Technician & Receptionist to join our team. These are for 2 different positions but we will eventually cross train for both. Both positions are for someone who enjoys working with animals, takes pride in their work, and can help wherever needed in a busy veterinary hospital. What You'll Do Veterinary / Patient Care Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgery Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats Obtain histories and vital signs Assist with blood draws, catheter placement, injections, and laboratory procedures as appropriate to training Prepare and monitor patients Administer medications and treatments under veterinary direction Maintain accurate medical records Keep treatment, surgical, and kennel areas clean and organized Help maintain inventory and supplies Reception / Client Care Answer phones and assist clients Take messages and communicate with the veterinary team Handle client record requests and email communication Provide professional, compassionate customer service The Right Person We want someone who shows up, is dependable, takes responsibility for their work, and is willing to help wherever needed.
The ideal candidate:
