Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with both animals and their owners. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any changes or concerns. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia administration and monitoring. Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays. Ensure a clean and safe environment for both animals and staff by following proper kennel management protocols. Educate pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge: Strong understanding of animal care principles, including knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology. Familiarity with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate within the clinic. Proficiency in laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine. Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain hygiene during procedures. Experience in animal catheterization is preferred. Ability to handle various types of animals safely and compassionately.
