Responsibilities:
Veterinary Technicians at Plant City Animal Hospital are responsible for: Patient Care Venipuncture IV catheter placement Obtaining radiographs Running in-house diagnostic testing IV fluid therapy Surgical assisting and post-operative care Client education and communication Safe, low-stress pet restraint Maintaining hospital cleanliness as part of a team. The ideal candidate for our Veterinary Technician role must: have a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience; technicians with certification are preferred have the ability to adhere to the attendance policy have any allergies to animals controllable through medication be able to lift 40 pounds have visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written directions have the ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephone have fine motor skills adequate for nursing skills such as phlebotomy and utilizing hospital equipment
Schedule:
Day shift Monday to Friday Saturdays once every four weeks
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Veterinary experience: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred) Ability to
