00 per hour Job description: Sea Oats Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated veterinary technician to join us in our veterinary office in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. If you want to be a part of an exciting hospital that offers high quality, full service care in a wonderful area, this position is for you! The successful candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented. They will also have a strong work ethic, common sense and a great sense of humor! The needs of our patients always come first, so you must be flexible. We are looking for someone with proven surgical and dental assisting skills but will be willing to train the appropriate person. Required duties and proficiencies will include client communication, patient assessment, medication administration, performing diagnostics including radiography, ECG, laboratory tests, assisting with procedures, performing all aspects of anesthesia and maintaining and updating hospitalized patient orders. Our area has great schools, a beautiful climate, and an exceptional quality of life. The location provides easy access to the beaches, Jacksonville and historic Saint Augustine. This is an excellent area to live for those who enjoy outdoor activities. The work schedule is 4 1/2 days per week including alternating Saturdays. Work hours are 7:45am until 5pm on weekdays, and 7:45am to 12pm on the rotating Saturdays. This is a full time position with competitive salary commensurate with experience.
