Job Description

30A Vet is seeking an experienced veterinary technician. We are looking for a positive, motivated, upbeat team player. We prefer some experience and will continue training anyone willing to learn. We are open 5 days a week and need someone who is flexible, dedicated, and is willing to learn and grow with the clinic.
Duties include:
Pulling/running blood work Placing IV Catheters Performing nail trims/ear cleanings, etc. Must be comfortable restraining and working with aggressive patients. Gathering patient history from clients and assisting Doctors in rooms with patients. Running diagnostic testing on blood, urine, stool, and other samples. Helping Doctors with notes and completing vitals Discussing medications and discharge instructions with owner Educating clients on their pets health and needs Administering vaccinations, fluids, and medications. Calculating dosage of medications. Caring for hospitalized patients. Prepping patients for surgery, monitoring anesthesia and post-surgery clean up. Other miscellaneous duties within the clinic include: assisting with the phones, checking patients and clients in and out, calling in prescriptions and keeping the clinic orderly, clean, and stocked. Pay is depending on experience. This is a great opportunity to further your education! We also offer limited benefits.
