About Us Sarasota Veterinary Services is a privately owned, walk-in veterinary hospital serving the Sarasota community. We provide general care, urgent care, and emergency services in a fast-paced but supportive environment. Because we operate as a walk-in hospital , every day is different and technicians gain hands-on experience with a wide variety of medical and surgical cases.

Schedule Full-time position:

Four weekdays + Saturday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM We also provide after-hours emergency care and overnight hospitalizations , which creates optional opportunities for additional shifts and overtime , but these hours are not required . Pay $18 - $30 per hour Pay is based on experience, skill level, and credentials. Responsibilities Veterinary Technicians at Sarasota Veterinary Services play a critical role in patient care.

Duties may include:

Patient triage and intake Assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures Placing IV catheters and administering medications Performing laboratory diagnostics (bloodwork, cytology, fecals, etc.) Taking and positioning radiographs Monitoring anesthesia and recovering surgical patients Hospitalized patient care and treatment administration Client communication and education Maintaining accurate medical records Because we are a walk-in hospital , technicians should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling urgent cases . Qualifications Veterinary Technician experience preferred Credentialed technicians (CVT/LVT/RVT) encouraged but not required Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate and professional with clients and patients Why Join Sarasota Veterinary Services?
