Overview Urgent Care Veterinary Partners is looking for a dedicated, compassionate Customer Service/Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role is primarily client-facing, with a secondary focus on hands-on veterinary technician support as needed. Responsibilities Client & Front-of-House Communicate with clients about pet care instructions, treatment plans, and behavioral concerns Maintain accurate records of medical histories, treatments, medications administered, and procedures performed Support a welcoming, organized front-of-house experience for clients and their pets Animal Care & Technician Support Provide day-to-day animal care — feeding, grooming, and keeping kennels and treatment areas clean Handle dogs and cats with patience and proper restraint techniques, prioritizing safety for animals and staff Assist veterinarians and technicians with clinical procedures (IV placement, restraint, catheterization, medication administration) Support surgical procedures, including patient prep, anesthesia monitoring, and in-surgery assistance Monitor animal behavior, health, and welfare throughout their stay Follow safety protocols, including PPE use and infection control Maintain sanitation standards, including equipment sterilization Experience Kennel experience or animal handling background highly desirable Veterinary technician experience or related clinic experience preferred Working knowledge of veterinary terminology, surgical procedures, medication administration, and recordkeeping Experience in veterinary critical care or emergency settings a plus Strong understanding of animal behavior and physiology for safe, effective handling Excellent communication skills — able to explain pet health needs to clients clearly and empathetically Comfortable in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing attention to detail Must be available to work weekends and holidays — this role covers UCVP's after-hours/urgent care schedule Join our team dedicated to advancing animal health through compassionate care and exceptional client service!
Pay:
