Job Description Main Street Veterinary Hospital is rapidly expanding and is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team effective immediately! We have both part time and full time hours available depending on applicant and suitable arrangement. Experience preferred but all qualified RVTs will be considered, including new graduates. Main Street Vet offers medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K, employee pet benefits and paid time off. Duties and Responsibilities Day to day compassionate care of hospitalized and surgical patients. Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance. Assist doctors and licensed technician in exam rooms, with treatments, and diagnostic procedures such as restraining for exams, blood draws, and catheter placements; taking radio graphs, prepping for surgeries, surgical patient monitoring, etc. Demonstrated ability to accurately manage and record detailed information in medical records. Excellent client communication skills. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and cooperative working relationship with fellow staff members. Qualifications Must certified or have at least 2 years experience•as a veterinary technician OR are a Registered Veterinary Technician Must be willing to work in Madison, GA Knowledge of medical procedures in a veterinary setting critical. Must be of good character and friendly disposition. Calmness and composure in difficult and demanding environment are required, as is an extraordinary commitment to customer service and compassion. This is a physically challenging role - our pets don't stop moving and neither do we!
