Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you'll support our lead veterinarian in delivering comprehensive medical services, ensuring each pet receives compassionate and expert attention. Your expertise will help create a positive experience for pet owners and their beloved animals, fostering health and happiness in our community. Responsibilities Assist veterinarian with animal examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring procedures are performed efficiently and safely Handle animal restraint and restraint equipment to facilitate examinations and procedures while maintaining animal comfort and safety Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to aid in accurate diagnosis Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure optimal patient outcomes Support pet care activities including grooming, feeding, administering medications, and monitoring recovery Conduct animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning enclosures, and managing kennel areas with attention to detail Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and supporting oral health treatments Handle dog training and dog handling activities to improve behavior during veterinary visits Support veterinary critical care cases by monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and documenting patient progress Utilize knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology to assist in various clinical tasks Experience Prior kennel experience or pet care background demonstrating familiarity with animal handling and husbandry practices Veterinary technician experience or related veterinary experience preferred; certification is a plus Laboratory experience including sample collection and diagnostic testing techniques Knowledge of animal catheterization, aseptic techniques, and X-ray operation is highly desirable Strong dog handling skills along with the ability to work effectively with animals of diverse temperaments Understanding of veterinary critical care procedures and emergency response protocols Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for animal welfare and client service Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills make a real difference! Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
