Job Description
Job Overview:
Seeking part time Veterinary Technician to work in a busy mixed animal practice. Experience preferred. Phone, customer service and some computer skills are a must. Applicants can email resumes to cottonwoodvetclinic@msn.com, or bring to office.Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in routine examinations, surgeries, and emergency procedures
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
- Provide animal care including treating, feeding, and monitoring behavior
- Handle animal restraint during procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper care and treatment plans
Experience:
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience in animal care, including husbandry and critical care
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
