Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join Pet Medical Care. We are looking for experience with large animal and willingness to go on mobile appointments. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with animal restraint, sedation, and monitoring. Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to aid in accurate diagnosis. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary protocols while ensuring proper aseptic techniques. Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, and equines with confidence in animal handling and restraint techniques. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and document procedures accurately in compliance with clinic standards. Support pet care activities such as grooming, feeding, and providing comfort to hospitalized animals. Conduct animal husbandry tasks including cleaning kennels, monitoring animal physiology, and ensuring a safe environment for all animals. Skills Multi-task in a fast-paced working environment Maintain a high level of organization and communication. Maintain accurate medical records Provide consistent quality customer service to every client and patient Have excellent customer service skills. Work independently. Knowledge of animal methods of care, restraint and handling of animals Knowledge of veterinary medical and surgical practices and procedures Ability to handle and restrain large and small animals Ability to lift animals onto a table (50-60 lbs individually). Skill in operating medical equipment

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
