Job Description
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) - Join Our Team at Finan Animal Hospital Finan Animal Hospital is looking to add a competent, efficient, and personable CVT to our staff. We only hire certified technicians. We value your education and expertise! We utilize our techs and expect you to reach your full potential. Dentistry and surgery skills are a top priority for this role. Get ready to place IV catheters, draw blood, take X-rays and dental radiographs, assist in and monitor surgical procedures, perform therapeutic laser treatments, use your intubation skills, and so much more. Building genuine connections with our clients matters just as much as clinical skill. We're looking for a technician who takes the time to build rapport with pet owners, listens to their concerns, and makes them feel like part of the care team. Client education and trust-building are central to how we practice medicine here.
Skills & Qualifications We're Looking For:
Top Priority:
Strong dental skills — cleanings, dental radiography/positioning, charting Solid surgical experience — surgical assisting, anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient prep, and recovery Exceptional client connection skills — building rapport, trust, and long-term relationships with pet owners At least 1 year in general practice setting as aCVT Also Important:
Current CVT license (required) Proficiency in venipuncture and IV catheter placement Comfort with general radiography Familiarity with laser therapy protocols (or willingness to be trained) Strong understanding of pharmacology and medication administration Clear, compassionate client communication and education skills Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced clinical environment Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail Compassion for animals and the people who love them!What We Offer:
