BluePearl Pet Hospital in Northfield, IL is looking for a Neurology Anesthesia Veterinary Technician to join our growing neurology team! 💰
Pay:
$23.20 - $43.70/hour •This pay band is dependent on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool. 💰 Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualified candidates ✨ Plus, competitive shift differentials! This is an exciting opportunity for an anesthesia technician who wants to take their skills into specialty neurology and advanced diagnostics. You'll work closely with the neurology team and care for patients undergoing procedures and advanced imaging, including MRI and CT . If you enjoy anesthesia but also want the opportunity to learn something new and expand your skill set, this role gives you plenty of room to grow. What You'll Do Administer and continuously monitor anesthesia for neurology procedures and diagnostic imaging Assist with MRI and CT procedures , including patient preparation and monitoring Develop anesthetic plans based on individual patient needs Monitor patients, troubleshoot anesthetic complications, and make appropriate interventions Place IV catheters, intubate patients, manage CRIs, and operate anesthesia equipment Support neurology appointments, diagnostics, and treatment plans Assist with emergency patient transfers and urgent neurology cases Provide patient care from pre-op through recovery Communicate with clients regarding procedures, expectations, and patient care Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly prepared and maintained Schedule Four 10-hour shifts per week This position includes weekday on-call responsibilities and rotating weekend on-call coverage. What We're Looking For
CVT/LVT/RVT
preferred , or equivalent veterinary anesthesia experience Strong anesthesia monitoring and patient care skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment Excellent communication, organization, and client service skills Willingness to learn advanced imaging technologies and neurology-specific procedures Why BluePearl?
