Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate animal care, assist veterinarians during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of our clinic. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional pet healthcare, support pet owners, and contribute to a positive, healing environment for animals. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostic imaging such as radiology and X-ray procedures Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during examinations and treatments Conduct laboratory work including blood draws (phlebotomy), sample collection, and laboratory diagnostics Administer medications and treatments accurately following veterinary protocols Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures and wound care to prevent infection Monitor animals in critical or intensive care units, providing supportive care and documenting vital signs Operate medical equipment such as anesthesia machines, radiology equipment, and laboratory analyzers with precision Assist with pet care advice and client communication to promote overall animal well-being Handle IV insertions, vascular access, catheterizations, and other veterinary technical procedures with confidence Support emergency medicine efforts by responding swiftly to urgent cases requiring veterinary critical care or emergency interventions Skills Proven kennel experience along with animal husbandry skills for dogs and cats Experience with veterinary anesthesia monitoring, general anesthesia administration, and anesthesiology best practices Skilled in dog handling, animal restraint techniques including fear-free restraint to ensure safety for animals and staff Knowledge of diagnostic radiology techniques Ability to perform laboratory tasks such as blood draws, sample processing, and lab diagnostics accurately Excellent client communication skills to educate pet owners about pet care plans and treatment options Experience working in emergency medicine or critical & intensive care settings is highly desirable Capable of operating medical equipment safely while adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures Join our team as a Veterinary Technician if you're passionate about animal health!
