Job Description

Seymour Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Registered Veterinary Technician for our busy, well established, family-oriented practice in Seymour, Indiana. We are a mixed-animal hospital established in 1950 with loyal clientele. Applicants must be fun-loving and energetic, have outstanding communication skills, and provide excellent care to our patients. We provide a mentorship working environment. We believe in having a good work-life balance. You will have a four day work week (set schedule) with no weekends or holidays so you can have a life outside of the hospital. Seymour is located in the heart of southern Indiana between Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati. Hiking and mountain biking your thing? Seymour is surrounded by many parks including Hoosier National Forest, Muscatatuck Wildlife Refuge, and Brown County State Park. Shopping and dining more your thing? There are many wineries and breweries in the area, as well as many boutiques and restaurants.
RVT Qualifications :
Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA accredited program Licensure (or eligible for licensure) in good standing to practice in Indiana Benefits include: Health Insurance Retirement Savings Plan Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Paid membership dues for local district IVMA CE Allowance Reimbursement on licensures Uniform Allowance Casual Fridays Duties include but not limited to: Obtaining and preparing clinical laboratory samples for analysis or for shipment to reference lab, assisting in medical and surgical procedures and monitoring patients after, preparing medications, admitting and discharging patients, advising clients on different aspects of pet care, handling and restraining pets for treatment, provide nursing care for hospitalized patients, entering information in the medical chart and on invoices, and assisting the client service and veterinary assistants as needed.
Physical demands:
Able to lift 50lbs. Restrain or walk animals up to 200 lbs. Able to stand for up to 8 hours on a hard surface. Lift and carry with assistance animals up to 50 lbs. Please submit resumes through Indeed.
