Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT/CVT) Tallgrass Veterinary Hospital | Concordia, KS Join a Growing Team That Loves What They Do! Tallgrass Veterinary Hospital is a progressive, modern mixed animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional care for both our patients and clients. As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered or Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. Our caseload is approximately 60% small animal and 40% large animal, giving our technicians the opportunity to work with a wide variety of species. In addition to providing comprehensive mixed animal medicine, we are a regional referral hospital for small animal orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and advanced large animal cases. What You'll Do As an RVT/CVT at Tallgrass Veterinary Hospital, you'll play an essential role in patient care by: Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatment plans Performing digital radiography and assisting with diagnostic imaging Monitoring anesthesia and assisting during surgical procedures Providing nursing care before, during, and after surgery Performing laboratory testing and accurately documenting results Placing and maintaining intravenous catheters Caring for hospitalized and critical patients Working with a variety of species, including dogs, cats, cattle, horses, sheep, goats, and occasional exotic animals Educating clients and supporting them throughout their pets' care What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and client service Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to continue learning Preferred Qualifications At least one year of veterinary technician experience Experience with both small and large animal medicine Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, radiology, and critical care Benefits We value our team and invest in their success by offering: Competitive pay based on experience 401(k) with employer matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Continuing education allowance and CE opportunities Professional license reimbursement Professional development assistance Uniform allowance Employee pet care discount $2,000 relocation bonus
