Lawrence, KS Schedule:
4 days per weekEvening Shift:
3:00 PM- 1:00
AM Overnight Shift:
11:00 PM- 9:00
AM Compensation:
$22- $26 per hour (commensurate with experience and shift) About Us At Ad Astra Urgent Care Veterinary Clinic, we provide compassionate, accessible, high-quality urgent care and overnight monitoring for pets in Lawrence, KS, during the hours when primary care clinics are closed.
- Provide skilled nursing care for urgent and emergency patients, including triage, monitoring, and treatment.
- Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, procedures, and treatments (radiographs, laboratory testing, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, etc.).
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with clients regarding patient status, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Maintain meticulous and timely medical records for every patient to ensure smooth case transfer to referring veterinarians.
- Support a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide efficient, high-quality patient care during busy and high-stress periods. Qualifications
- Licensed or certified Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT) preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of veterinary clinical experience; emergency or urgent care experience a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay composed in a fast-paced environment.
