Job Description
Overview Our team is looking to add a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care in a non profit sector. This position will include 1-2 surgery days per week and a walk in vaccine clinic day. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be a team player and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift dogs as needed. Experience is required. Duties Assist with animal restraint, handling, and positioning to ensure safe and effective examinations and procedures Prepare and maintain medical equipment, anesthesia machines, and surgical instruments. Draw blood as needed and do fecals Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary instructions while monitoring patient responses Support surgical procedures by assisting with anesthesia monitoring, tubing animals for surgery and surgery prep. Dental cleaning experience helpful Assist with inventory Maintain detailed records as needed Skills Proven kennel experience Excellent dog handling skills along with animal restraint to ensure safety during examinations or treatments This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to expand their veterinary technician experience while making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals.
