In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist veterinarians with medical procedures, perform animal handling and restraint, and ensure the highest standards of pet care. Your skills in veterinary terminology, laboratory work, and animal physiology will contribute to a compassionate environment dedicated to the health and well-being of our patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your veterinary technician experience while making a positive impact on pets and their owners. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing animals and equipment. Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures with accuracy and aseptic technique. Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and patient histories in compliance with veterinary protocols. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology, performing pet grooming, and assisting with pet anesthesia. Handle x-ray imaging processes, including positioning animals correctly and ensuring radiation safety measures are followed. Provide pet care instructions to clients, including pet grooming, feeding guidelines, and post-procedure care. Requirements Valid license as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent certification in veterinary technology. Proven kennel experience along with animal husbandry skills to manage multiple animals effectively. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology essential for accurate diagnostics and treatment. Experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet care best practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques required for clinical accuracy. Prior veterinary critical care experience is highly desirable to support urgent patient needs. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals.
