Metairie Small Animal Hospital (MSAH) is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated technician team in Metairie, Louisiana. This is an opportunity to work hands-on in a hospital where teamwork, clinical growth, and patient advocacy are at the center of what we do. Experience in surgery, anesthesia, oncology, CT, dentistry, ophthalmology, diagnostics is a plus. We're open to credentialed and non-credentialed candidates with a veterinary technician background. What You'll Do Day-shift technicians play an important role across our treatment, diagnostic, surgical, and hospitalized patient care teams. Depending on your experience and interests, responsibilities may include: Monitor and provide nursing care for hospitalized patients Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy Run in-house bloodwork and laboratory diagnostics Take and process digital radiographs Assist with CT imaging and advanced diagnostic procedures Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures and recovery Assist with dentistry and dental radiographs Support oncology treatments and diagnostics Assist the ICU team with critical and hospitalized patients as needed Administer medications and treatments as directed Maintain accurate electronic medical records Communicate effectively with doctors, clients, and other members of the medical team What We're Looking For Previous hands-on veterinary clinical experience required Non-credentialed Veterinary Technicians and credentialed
