Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients while supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians with daily tasks. The ideal candidate enjoys working with animals, is a team player, and is willing to learn in a fast-paced veterinary setting. We are located at 4919 North Market street, Shreveport La 71107. Key Responsibilities Experience is not required we offer on the job training Must also be able to work some weekends (we do offer boarding for our clients) Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, exam rooms, and treatment areas Feed, water, and walk dogs; clean litter boxes and enclosures Monitor animals for signs of illness, stress, or injury and report concerns to staff Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians as needed Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely Launder bedding and maintain clinic cleanliness Care for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and other small/exotic pets (as applicable) Follow all clinic safety, sanitation, and animal care protocols

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST
