Job Description

Community Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team! We are seeking a confident, compassionate, and dependable CVT who enjoys working in a fast-paced veterinary hospital and is committed to providing exceptional patient care and client service. The ideal candidate will have previous veterinary technician experience, strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. What You'll Do Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures, surgery, and dentistry Obtain and monitor patient vital signs Place and monitor IV catheters and administer medications Perform blood draws, laboratory testing, radiographs, and other diagnostic procedures Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures Calculate and administer medications accurately Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, nutrition, and post-operative care Maintain accurate and thorough medical records Assist with patient triage and provide appropriate care based on patient needs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team members What We're Looking For Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) Previous veterinary technician experience required Strong knowledge of veterinary nursing and patient care Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment Strong communication and client service skills Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team Comfortable working evening and weekend shifts Reliable attendance and flexibility with scheduling Compassionate and professional approach to patients, clients, and coworkers Schedule This position will include a combination of daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
