Starting at $30.50/hour Join our team as a Veterinary Surgical Research Technician III, where you'll play a key role in supporting surgical research studies and advancing scientific discoveries. In this position, you'll serve as a lead surgical technician, performing specialized procedures, collecting study data, and providing guidance to junior team members. What You'll Do Serve as the lead technician on surgical research studies. Perform pre-operative, post-operative, and anesthesia-related procedures. Administer test articles and collect accurate study data. Conduct clinical observations and monitor animal health and well-being. Collect biological samples and document study findings. Support both routine and complex research protocols. Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced staff. Maintain compliance with GLP standards and animal welfare regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in animal research, laboratory science, veterinary medicine, surgical services, or a related environment. Experience with animal handling, surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and sample collection. Knowledge of GLP regulations and laboratory animal care standards preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic data collection systems. Preferred Qualifications
