- Time Thrive Pet Healthcare is one of the first veterinary services offering a comprehensive continuum of care for pets' primary, specialty, and acute needs.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Passionate about animal care, highly motivated, and pays attention to detail. Our Veterinary Technicians are the heartbeat of our team and work side by side with our Veterinarians (DVMs) during procedures. A full- time position would require working between 30-40 hours a week, which includes a combination of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Job Duties:
Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to veterinary patients. Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, treatments, and surgeries. Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and medical information. Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory testing, radiographs, and other technician-level procedures. Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians. Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery. Maintain accurate and timely medical records. Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, preventive care, nutrition, and follow-up instructions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment and patient-care environment. Communicate effectively with doctors and the entire veterinary team. Support a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture. Follow established hospital protocols for patient safety, infection control, and equipment maintenance.Experience & Skills Requirements:
Current CVT credential or eligibility for certification in MA. Previous experience in a veterinary clinical setting. Strong animal-handling and patient-care skills. Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and coworkers. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in general veterinary practice. Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical-assistance skills. Experience with in-house laboratory equipment and diagnostic procedures. Familiarity with veterinary practice-management software.
