Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated Animal Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a strong knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Duties
- Perform daily care tasks for animals including feeding, watering, and cleaning of enclosures
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff
- Assist with animal handling and restraint during procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of animal housing areas
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinary team
- Provide enrichment activities for animals to ensure their well-being Qualifications
- Knowledge of aseptic technique in handling animals
- Understanding of animal physiology and anatomy
- Experience in pet care, pet sitting, or pet grooming is beneficial
- Familiarity with equine care is a plus
- Proficiency in animal husbandry practices
- Ability to handle and restrain various types of animals safely
