Great Lakes Veterinary Dentistry Seeking Licensed Veterinary Technician(s) Part time & Full time positions available Company Description Great Lakes Veterinary Dentistry is a dental specialty practice that provides individualized dental care for dogs and cats, in Chelsea, MI. Dr. Claire Dosenberry is a board certified veterinary dentist. We do a low volume of surgeries and aim to give each client and patient the attention they deserve. GLVD strives to be a valued and trusted partner to the veterinarians and animal hospitals in and around our community for years to come. Role Description This is a part or full-time, on-site Licensed Veterinary Technician role. The ideal candidate enjoys anesthesia and pain management. You will be responsible for assisting the veterinarian in day-to-day tasks, including inducing and monitoring patients during surgical procedures along side a board certified anesthesiologist, dental prophy and radiography. Providing pre and post-surgical care including intubation, catheterization, phlebotomy and proper instrument cleaning, packing and sterilization. LVT's will also educate clients on the proper care of their pets, check patients in/out, and provide support to the veterinary team in all aspects of patient care. Qualifications 2-3 years of experience Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Michigan Proficient in Anesthesiology and anesthesia monitoring techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures Proficient and professional record keeping Reliable and punctual.
