Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures Monitoring anesthesia and supporting patients throughout procedures and recovery Performing laboratory testing and other diagnostic procedures Obtaining diagnostic radiographs Collecting and preparing patient samples Safely and compassionately handling and restraining cats and dogs Preparing examination rooms and surgical suites Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Monitoring patients and communicating changes in their condition Maintaining accurate and detailed patient medical records Educating clients about treatment plans Providing client education regarding preventive care and home care Supporting veterinarians and fellow team members throughout the day Performing daily cleaning and helping maintain hospital standards Keeping treatment and patient care areas clean, organized, and ready for the next patient What You'll Bring We're looking for a credentialed technician who combines strong technical ability with compassion, communication, reliability, and the ability to keep things moving when the hospital gets busy.
Our ideal candidate brings:
A current Veterinary Technician license or credential (LVT/RVT/CVT, according to state requirements) Previous veterinary clinic experience preferred Strong veterinary technical skills Experience with anesthesia monitoring Confidence with laboratory and diagnostic procedures Experience with radiology and sample collection Safe and compassionate animal handling skills Comfort working with both cats and dogs Excellent communication skills A collaborative, team-oriented mindset Strong attention to detail The ability to multitask effectively The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy clinical environment A passion for animal care and commitment to patient well-being The Extras You'll Actually Feel At Maple Veterinary Hospital, we want our Licensed Veterinary Technicians to have opportunities to use the skills they've worked hard to develop.
