Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Surgery LVT to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting veterinary professionals during procedures for various animals. This position requires a strong understanding of animal care, physiology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare for surgical procedures. Monitor animals' vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout the procedure. Assist in the administration of medications as directed by veterinarians. Ensure the safety and comfort of animals before, during, and after the surgery Maintain accurate records of protocols and patient monitoring data. Collaborate with veterinary staff to develop plans tailored to individual animal needs. Provide post-surgery care, including monitoring recovery and addressing any complications. Uphold cleanliness and organization within the surgical area and equipment. Experience Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas: Experience working in a veterinary clinic environment. Skills in animal handling techniques. Understanding of laboratory practices related to animal health. Proficiency in animal restraint methods to ensure safety during procedures. This position requires a compassionate approach towards animals, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
