Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) /
LVT-Eligible Veterinary Technician Location:
White Bear Lake, MN Job Type:
Full-Time Work Setting:
In Person Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or LVT-Eligible Veterinary Technician (Former CVT) to join a collaborative veterinary team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of veterinary clinical experience and be comfortable providing hands-on patient care, assisting with surgeries and dental procedures, performing diagnostic testing, monitoring anesthesia, and educating pet owners. Key Responsibilities Hospital Operations & Compliance Maintain accurate records for medications and controlled substances. Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and medical equipment. Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory. Stock examination rooms and treatment areas. Assist with patient boarding and provide backup support to the client service team during busy periods. Follow applicable federal and state regulations, including OSHA and DEA requirements. Schedule 4-day weekday workweek Weekday shifts are approximately 10 hours , including a 1-hour meal break.
Rotating Saturday shifts:
8:00 AM-12:00
PM Monday-Friday:
8:00 AM-6:00
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM-12:00
PM Sunday:
Closed Qualifications Minimum 2 years of veterinary clinical experience required. Current Minnesota Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license in good standing OR LVT-eligible candidate who is a former CVT and is actively pursuing Minnesota LVT licensure. Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmacology, common diseases, treatment protocols, disease transmission, and preventative care. Strong animal handling and patient-care skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care.
