Veterinary Technicians divide their time between patient care, restraining animals in a calm, caring, and safe manner, dispensing medications, assisting doctors with treatments, client education, answering phones, following up on appointments, and entering data into computerized medical records. Veterinary technicians are also responsible for monitoring anesthesia, assisting in surgery and dental cleanings. You will be utilizing a full range of veterinary technician skills. Our clinic does see a wide variety of species from cats and dogs to a multitude of exotic species (birds, reptiles, small mammals, amphibians, and even some fish)! At Kansas City Veterinary Care we believe in improving lives and strengthening the human-animal bond through high quality, comprehensive, compassionate care. Applicants should have excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task efficiently, a friendly and upbeat attitude, and be detail-oriented and ready to learn. This position has 4 shifts during the week and once monthly Saturday shift from 7:00 am - 1:00 pm, with weekend boarding animal care duties once a month. Pay is based on experience and licensure.
