This is a full-time, daytime position scheduled Sunday-Thursday. This role offers consistent hours and the ability to follow cases over time. The work centers on intake care, ongoing monitoring, and follow-up treatment. Some cats require longer-term support, while urgent medical situations do happen, but are less common. The position includes direct involvement in managing cases over time, from intake through recovery, and maintaining consistency in care across the shelter population. The role is well-suited for a technician who values consistent hours, hands-on responsibility, and working as part of a small, dedicated, and friendly team. The focus of this position is on steady, thoughtful care and close observation, with an emphasis on identifying changes in condition and supporting long-term outcomes. As the organization continues to grow, this role will contribute to strengthening and refining medical processes, in collaboration with leadership and veterinary partners.

Duties Conduct intake exams and assess incoming cats to determine care needs and next steps Administer medications (oral, topical, injectable) Perform treatments including fluids, wound care, and basic procedures Draw blood and collect diagnostic samples (fecal, urine, etc.) Monitor cats recovering from illness, injury, or surgery Perform daily health checks and identify changes in condition Prepare cats for weekly veterinary visits, including notes and coordination Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records Coordinate veterinary appointments and transport as needed Support the physical and behavioral well-being of cats using low-stress handling Assist with cleaning and sanitation of medical and housing areas, as needed Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Current Veterinary Technician certification (LVT/RVT/CVT) required At least 1 year of experience working directly with cats Knowledge of feline health and welfare principles

• Fear Free® or Cat Friendly training preferred Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to safely and effectively handle cats, including fearful or fractious cats Communicate effectively and courteously orally and in writing Valid driver's license (in good standing)
