Animal Medical Center is seeking a Kennel Technician who takes pride in providing exceptional daily care and maintaining a clean, safe environment for the pets entrusted to us. This role is essential to the health, comfort, and happiness of our boarding pets—and to the overall success of our veterinary team. About the Role As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital part in our patients' daily care and well-being.
Responsibilities include:
Providing daily boarding care (feeding, walking, cleaning, monitoring) Maintaining clean, sanitary, and safe kennel areas Bathing and performing basic grooming services (nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expression) Assisting veterinary staff with safe pet handling and comfort support Monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health and promptly reporting concerns Treating every pet as if they were your own This is an active, fast-paced position that requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals. This Is Not the Job for You If… You are uncomfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments You dislike cleaning (sanitation is a major part of this role) You struggle with being on your feet most of the day You are unable to lift and handle pets and equipment safely You prefer working independently rather than as part of a team Schedule Requirements Full-time (30-40 hours per week) Shifts between 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Must be available to work weekends and holidays Dependability and flexibility are essential.
