Job Description

We are currently looking to hire Veterinary Technician to join our team at PetDocks Veterinary Hospital in Morehead City, North Carolina.
Salary:
$17.00 - 20.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday. Hospital is closed on the weekends, but some boarding/kennel shifts are required.

Who You Are:
If you are that veterinary technician who is looking for an exciting, no day ever the same, fast-paced, fun, energetic veterinary hospital then we look forward to hearing from you! NC state RVT license strongly preferred, but not required 1 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary assistant or technician required Understands the importance of excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Passion for working with animals and their owners Familiarity with Cornerstone or ProVet preferred Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Experience with proper animal handling and restraint of a variety of species Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare Basic understanding of common medications, vaccinations, and preventatives Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per doctor orders Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures Ensure a clean, safe and organized work environment What Makes Us Different Referral program - join our team, bring your friends, and get paid!
