Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic veterinary team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in animal handling, veterinary terminology, and medical equipment operation will contribute to delivering top-tier veterinary services. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, including radiology diagnostics and critical & intensive care. Perform laboratory work such as phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and analyzing samples to support accurate diagnoses. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary anesthesia monitoring protocols and aseptic techniques. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for various species, including dogs, cats, and equines. Operate medical equipment such as X-ray machines, laboratory analyzers, and anesthesia delivery systems with precision. Maintain detailed patient records using veterinary software while ensuring compliance with all veterinary procedure assistance standards. Support pet care activities including grooming, pet grooming, dog training, and animal husbandry to promote overall well-being. Qualifications Valid license as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent certification in veterinary technology. Proven experience in veterinary settings with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy. Hands-on experience with anesthesia administration, anesthesiology procedures, vascular access (IV insertion), and animal catheterization. Strong background in emergency medicine and veterinary emergency care practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, diagnostic radiology (X-ray), radiology diagnostics, and medical equipment operation. Excellent animal handling skills across different species with an emphasis on safety and humane restraint techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions and treatment plans.
