Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during routine examinations and wellness appointments. Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting samples (blood, urine, feces), and preparing animals for exams. Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian. Educate pet owners on general animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files. Ensure cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment. Handle client communications professionally and compassionately. Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the veterinarian. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program. Valid Veterinary Technician license or certification as required by New Jersey. Experience in a general veterinary practice preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
