Linden, NJ 07036 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our general practice team in Linden, NJ. This role focuses on providing excellent care during regular appointments and wellness visits. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a passion for animal care, and the ability to work effectively with both pets and their owners. Key Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during routine examinations and wellness appointments. Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting samples (blood, urine, feces), and preparing animals for exams. Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian. Educate pet owners on general animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files. Ensure cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment. Handle client communications professionally and compassionately. Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the veterinarian. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program. Valid Veterinary Technician license or certification as required by New Jersey. Experience in a general veterinary practice preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Compassion for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care. Basic computer skills for record keeping and appointment scheduling.
